about me!

Cassidy is a is a Brooklyn-based writer, performer and creative originally from Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Witty and whimsical, curious and cunning, she has been crafting stories using her skill and passion for the written word as well as her natural talent for music and theatrical performance, in industries ranging from entertainment and performing arts, to higher education, to retail marketing and editorial fashion.

Cassidy's writing career spans 10 years and can be seen in essays, original plays, songs, and short stories. Currently, she serves as a senior member of the writing team at Cole Haan where she consistently delivers compelling stories for the brand's online and retail experiences. Her writing can be seen across all digital platforms including website, email and social media. She is also a pivotal creative contributor to Columbia University's online magazine and Osmosis, Knowledge Diffusion, where she not only serves as a Voice Over artist but also uses her keen attention to detail to ensure scripts are edited to perfection. She is a proud member of the BMI Lehman Engle Musical Theatre Workshop, the premier training ground for emerging musical theatre writers.  

Cassidy's performing career spans 15 years and has offered her the opportunity to appear on regional stages, under circus tents and in fringe festivals throughout the Mid Atlantic, in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York, in projects ranging from new works to Shakespeare and from children's theatre to film. Among her most memorable roles are appearing as a clown in NYC's very own Big Apple Circus in 2018-2019, performing in the famed Philadelphia Fringe Festival during the 2012 and 2013 seasons and serving as the voice of an adventurous mouse named Mo in an original animated TV program that first aired in 2021.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and Dance from Dickinson College, a certificate in physical theatre and composition from the Headlong Performance Institute (HPI)in Philadelphia and a certificate in Creative Writing from Wesleyan University. She is also a proud member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

A marathoner, adventurer, cheese enthusiast and self-proclaimed dog whisperer, Cassidy truly believes that the art of storytelling has the power to bring people together to change the world.
